Paving my own excellence
Naples Sabot.
The boat I first learned on at the Leeway Sailing Center
Sailing isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s a passion. I started sailing in January when I was in 8th grade. Lessons from ym parents were my Christmas gift. I come from a family that knew nothing about sailing but boy was I was hooked. Looking back on it, I am grateful that I learned in January. I was the only person signed up in the class meant for eight-year olds. I did not know at the time that I was receiving private coaching from a national champion and meeting a great mentor for both sailing and life. I now sail competitively up and down the California coast and PNW - striving for success and achieving it at some of the highest levels such as captain of my Long Beach State team taking us to Nationals for the first time in 5 years, winning the 2024 Tasar North Americans or managing and crewing on a Farr 36 achieving Seattle Yacht Club sailboat of the year 2022 & 2023. My goal is to do more offshore and one-design small boat racing. I can fill a variety of roles but specialize in trim, pit, driving, and navigation. Please reach out if you have opportunities available.
